Cerebral palsy (CP) is a collective name for a variety of multisystem neurological disorders. The following disorders are manifested in defects or damage to various parts of the brain which are responsible for controlling the muscles and their activity.

Unfortunately, this is not a rare phenomenon. Cerebral palsy is the most common injury among children worldwide, and statistics speak of about 2.1 to 3cases per 1,000 births . This is a problem that has been known to medical science for thousands of years. The first record of it is found in the documents of the School of Medicine of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, from the 5th century BC. The first professional study in modern times about cerebral palsy began in the early 19th century.
